Getting to Kennywood

Kennywood is located on Rt. 837 in West Mifflin, PA just minutes from (about 12 miles southeast of) the downtown Pittsburgh area. Take your most convenient route to Interstate 376 (which runs from downtown Pittsburgh to Monroeville, PA at exit 57 of the PA Turnpike) and then take the Swissvale Exit (No. 7). From this exit, follow the Kennywood arrows south on Braddock Avenue until you cross the Monongahela river and turn left at the far end of the bridge (you will now be on Rt. 837). Kennywood will be 1.5 miles ahead with the parking lot on your right.

ALTOONA
From Rt. 220 West, to Rt. 22 West, to I376 West, get off exit # 7 Swissvale follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

AMBRIDGE
Rt. 65 South to I-79 South to I-279 North towards Pittsburgh. Go through the Fort Pitt Tunnels, stay in right lane, go I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

APOLLO/VANDERGRIFT
Rt. 66, to Rt. 22 West, to I 376 West, get off at Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

ALIQUIPPA
Rt. 60 toward Pittsburgh, I 279 North, go through the Fort Pitt Tunnels, stay in right lane, go I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

BEAVER FALLS/BEAVER COUNTY
Rt. 60 (Beaver Valley Expressway) to I 279 North, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in the right lane, take I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

BUTLER-NORTH
Rt. 8 South, cross the Highland Park bridge, pick up Washington Blvd., make a left onto Penn Ave., make a right onto Braddock Ave., go under I 376, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

MORGANTOWN/FAIRMONT/WEST VIRGINIA
I 79 North towards Pittsburgh, to I 279 toward Pittsburgh, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in the right lane, go I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off exit # 7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

MARYLAND
Rt. 40 North, to Rt. 51 North, get on Lebanon Church Road, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park, OR Rt. 40 North to Rt. 51 North, cross the Elizabeth bridge and make an immediate right onto Rt. 837 North. Follow Rt. 837 North to the Park.

ROCHESTER
Ohio River Blvd., to Rt. 65, to I 79, to I 279, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in the right lane, take I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

NORTH HILLS
Cross the Highland Park bridge, pick up Washington Blvd., make a left onto Penn Ave., make a right onto Braddock Ave., go under I 376, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park. or I 79 South, to I 279 South, to I 579 towards Pittsburgh, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

NEW CASTLE
Take Rt. 422 East, to I 79 South, to I 279 South, to I 579 towards Pittsburgh, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

NEW KENSINGTON
Rt. 28, cross the Highland Park bridge, pick up Washington Blvd., make a left onto Penn Ave., make a right onto Braddock Ave., go under I 376, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

PHILADELPHIA
Pennsylvania Turnpike (I76) West, get off exit # 57 (Old exit #6) Pittsburgh/Monroeville exit, pick up I 376 West toward Pittsburgh, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

NORTH BOROS
Take Rt. 65, go around Heinz Field, cross the Fort Duquesne bridge, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

STEUBENVILLE
Rt. 22 East, to I 279 North, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in right lane, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

WHEELING
Rt. 70 East, to I 79 North, to I 279 North, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in right lane, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

CLEVELAND/YOUNGSTOWN/OHIO-NORTH
I 80 East, to 1 79 South, to I 279 South, to I 579 towards Pittsburgh, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

FROM I 76 PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE
Get off exit # 57 (old exit #6) Pittsburgh/Monroeville, to I 376 West toward Pittsburgh, get off Exit #7 Swissvale, follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

FROM PGH. INT'L
I 279 toward Pittsburgh, go through the Fort Pitt tunnels, stay in the right lane, to I 376 East toward Monroeville, and get off at Exit #7, Swissvale exit, and follow the Kennywood arrows to the Park.

FROM RT. 30
Traveling West on Rt. 30, at the intersection of Rt. 30 & 148 in East McKeesport/North Versailles, make a left at the light onto 148 South (A Get-Go convenience store and an Eckerd's are on your left), go straight approx. 2 miles through 5 lights. After 5th light, stay in the right lane and make a right onto the on-ramp toward Duquesne. Cross over the McKeesport/Duquesne bridge and go North on Rt. 837 about 4 miles. Follow arrows to the Park, parking will be on left side.

FROM LEBANON CHURCH RD.
Follow Lebanon Church Rd. past Century III Mall Plaza. After passing the Allegheny County Airport get in the left lane. Staying in the left lane, at the "Y" at the end of Lebanon Church Road, make a left onto Buttermilk Hollow Rd. At the next light past the BP, make a right onto Thompson Run Rd., and at the stop sign make a left onto Homestead-Duquesne Rd. At the next light make a right onto Commonwealth Avenue, and once past the West Mifflin High School entrance, make a left onto Hoffman Boulevard. Follow this road to the Kennywood parking lot. Also, look for the yellow Kennywood arrows to the park.
